The "Gettysburg
Quartermaster" houses a unique blend of military artifacts from the
Revolutionary War through the Viet Nam War.
A smiling statue of a WWII GI wearing battle
fatigues, affectionately named "Joe," greets all visitors.
Upon entering the Gettysburg Quartermaster,
the unique character of the store becomes apparent. Cases of museum
style shelves are filled with rare artifacts, photographs, and
military correspondence. One can not help but be captivated with all
of the interesting rarities such as a McClellan Saddle, cavalry
battle correspondence, and military memorabilia posters. In the next
room you are surrounded by rack upon rack of WW II fatigues.
Helmets, uniform badges and buttons, as well as bayonets and a
variety of guns fill each and every corner. The shop is cavernous
and filled to the brim with military artifacts. Around every corner
is an adventure. |
